Please read the following terms & conditions and school disclaimer as it includes important information that may concern you should you choose to practice tai chi with our school.

Terms & conditions

  • Students are required to complete, sign and return the Physical Activity Readiness Questionnaire ( PAR-Q FORM ) on or before their first class.
  • Students must read and agree to the School's Terms and Conditions and Disclaimer before their first class: http://www.liverpooltaichi.com/tai-chi-disclaimer
  • All courses run in consecutive weeks (except Bank Holidays). Full details can be found at: http://www.liverpooltaichi.com/beginner-tai-chi-classes
  • Course fees are payable before the relevant term starts and are non-refundable.
  • In the event if we have to cancel a lesson(s), then the fee for that particular lesson(s) will be credited and applied to the next term.
  • The membership fee for the School runs from 1st October – 30th September and is renewed every year. It is non-refundable and the fee may be applied pro rata depending on when you join the class.
  • Please wear loose comfortable clothing and flat shoes. For safety reasons, heels, sandals, barefoot or socks only are not permitted. We ask that students arrive to class on time so that they can participate in our stretching exercises and Chi Kung warm up routines.
  • If you have health / mobility issues, then you must seek your doctor / GP's advice / approval before joining our classes. For existing members, if you have any significant change in your health, please inform your instructor and if necessary confirm with your GP that Tai Chi exercise is still suitable for you.
  • Course tutors may be substituted due to holidays, illness and other commitments.
  • Students are not permitted under any conditions to teach Tai Chi unless they have been accredited by Kam Lau School of Tai Chi Chuan. Any student who fails to comply with this rule will be asked to leave our school and will have their membership terminated with immediate effect.
  • Information about payment for classes and membership fees will be sent out by email. If necessary we may need to contact you at other times by emails for school updates.

Privacy Statement

Under GDPR and UK Data Protection Act: Kam Lau School of Tai Chi Chuan is committed to ensuring the security and protection of your personal information that we process. Your information will be held by Kam Lau School of Tai Chi Chuan for the sole use of informing the teaching of Tai Chi. It will not be shared with any other third party or organisation and will be stored securely and only kept for the duration of your participation in the classes.

School disclaimer

Before starting any new exercise programme with our school, whether online, pre-recorded video, live streaming or face-to-face, it is advisable to consult your GP or doctor for a professional diagnosis on whether it is safe for you to partake in this exercise based on your identified condition(s). The instructors of the Kam Lau School of Tai Chi Chuan cannot be held responsible for any physical or mental injury, harm or damage caused directly or indirectly by relying on the information contained within this website or from any of the material belonging to the Kam Lau School of Tai Chi Chuan.

When you are practising at home, please exercise responsibly, ensuring that your practice area is suitable and safe.
